Ha-Ey worked closely with Walala Studio and art fabricator Simon Sawer on the Putting Things In Perspective installation.

“Putting things in perspective”, an installation by renowned Artist Camille Walala.  Curated by Atelier Projects and located outside of The Box gallery in Plymouth for summer 2021.

“Situated in the vibrant square outside of the The Box Plymouth this 6x2x2.5m sculpture sits somewhere between 2D and 3D, and is based on collage work the artist has been exploring”

We worked closely with Walala Studio and art fabricator Simon Sawer to test shape stresses, incorporate weights, stiffeners and optimise the fabrication to make sure the installation would stand up to the rigors of the elements while on display.

By modelling surfaces and running stress analysis’ we helped Simon Sawer fabricate the work to strategically place connections and stiffeners to help realise the exploded axonometric form of the sculpture.

Jointing was designed to allow mounting and demounting for transport and relocation at the end of the summer.
